We believe that by educating people about the ocean, we can inspire a deeper appreciation and understanding of its importance in our lives and the connection this incredible force of nature has with us and the rest of the World.
We strive to discover the uncharted areas of the ocean, to learn more about the creatures that live there, and to share this knowledge with others, while providing an unparalleled experience for our guests and respecting the ocean at every moment.

MEET DAN
FOUNDER
Born and raised in Mexico City, but having lived all over, Dan moved to Baja in 2017 following his love for the ocean and to pursue a life next to it.
Divemaster, freediver, professional underwater photographer & teacher, conservationist, surfer, kayaker, between many others, are some of Dan’s biggest drives and all clearly defined by his uncanny connection to water.
With a background in luxury hospitality, he decided to combine his deep passion for the ocean and its conservation, along with his knowledge and skills to create Uncharted Expeditions, bringing people closer to the ocean in a way only he knows how.
Dan’s love for photography, which of course he eventually realized the ocean was where he was meant to take photos, led him to become a professional underwater photographer and Backscatter Photo Pro, where he discovered his love for teaching those who seek to capture the underwater world like him.
Following the currents and coastlines like marine animals do, Dan’s travels exploring and diving everywhere he can, has inspired him to create this project as much more than just a company, but a platform to educate and spread awareness for our Oceans and the ever-growing problems it faces, and create a community of new beacons of hope for the ocean and the Planet.
