MOBULAS & CETACEANS
EXPEDITION
As summer begins in Baja, hundreds of thousands of Munk Mobula Rays come together in the largest mobula ray migration of the world.
Along with these flying rays, as the currents begin to change and lots of nutrients fill the waters of the Sea of Cortez, we are lucky to have tons of other species of large animals who are in the area throughout their migrations routes and to feed.
The season normally runs between end of April until July, being May and June the peak of all the action.

Any water activity during this trip is done while snorkeling/freediving, so only basic snorkeling experience is needed. We recommend feeling comfortable in the water to enjoy to the fullest!
We like to limit our expeditions to 6 people max, so everyone is comfortable onboard and underwater, and to avoid being too many and potentially stress the wildlife. (This also means each date is quite limited and spaces fill up quickly.)

We can’t ensure any sighting as we are looking for wildlife in their natural environment. But we will do our best to try to find as many animals as possible and whom we can interact respectfully with.
These are some of the many species we can expect to find:
Rays: • Munk Mobula Rays • Giant Oceanic Manta (Jul/Aug)
Dolphins: • Bottlenose • Common • Orca • Risso’s • Spinner • False Killer Whale
Whales: Sperm Whale • Fin Whale • Bryde’s Whale • Blue Whale • Pilot Whales
Fish: Whale Shark • Mahi Mahi • Reef Fish • Marlin • Silky Sharks • Hammerhead Sharks
Other Common Sightings: • Sea Lions • Sea Turtles
